John Deere 5045 Electrical problems: no power when turning the key.

My John Deere 5045D worked well a month ago.Went to start it and nothing.It was as if the battery was completely dead.I loaded the battery and still nothing.When turning the key, there are no lights or sounds.I have checked the connections of the battery and seem to be fine.I am receiving 12 volts in the boot coil.Could it be that the key switch has broken down?Or should I look for the problem elsewhere?Thanks for any useful tip.

Problems with the electrical system are usually the result of a defective battery.The battery is not charging or has the corroded terminals, which causes high strength to the current.

Therefore, it is vital to make sure that:

  • the battery connections are correct;
  • regularly clean the terminals to avoid corrosions;
  • the electric belt must always be tense;
  • replace any defective battery.
