John Deere 5045 Transmission Problems Problems

John Deere 5045 Transmission Problems.

There is a John Deere 5045E tractor. The gear lever moves through all ranges, but the tractor is as if it were in neutral. When a gear is found the tractor operates normally, but if you try to change gear it will not move.

Some people faced the same issue dealing with the 5055E John Deere problems as well. Transmission problems can be quite adverse to the point where the machine cannot move an inch even with the engine running.

The best news is that you don’t have to hire a mechanic, but you can perform a corrective action yourself. That sound good.

Transmission problems can be the result of:

  • Low transmission oil. When the oil level is below the minimum level, it is low. This can be corrected by adding more oil.
  • Cold transmission oil. For the oil to move better, the transmission oil has to be slightly warm. Therefore, if it is cold, wait a few minutes for the oil to warm up.
  • Shift lever position in neutral. The shift lever must be in a high or low range position. Therefore, check if it is well positioned.

If you need help troubleshooting your tractor’s hydraulic system, call your dealer. Your service department should be able to ask the right questions, give suggestions, and you can make an appointment for service if necessary.
